M/s Rana Milk Foods (P) Ltd. was incorporated in 2004 and is since engaged in the manufacturing of variety of milk products. Regd office and works of the company are situated at Chawa Road, Samrala.
Promoter cum managing director of the company Sh. Prem Singh Rana has around 25 years of experience in the milk processing industry. After spending around 10 years in a dairy industry unit he floated his own venture under the name and style M/s Rana Milk Foods (P) Ltd. in 2004 and with his hardwork and vision steered his start up to a level where it has become a noticeable player in the Indian dairy sector processing.
In 2019, Jaspret Singh Dhesi joined the company. With a financial background and over two decades of experience, he envisioned operating the plant year-round, instead of just seven months a year. Previously, the plant only ran in the winter due to higher milk production. Leveraging his expertise, he invested in the plant which helped with processing and packaging milk for Mother Dairy and Baani round the year. Both Baani and Mother Dairy are overseen by the National Dairy Development Board of India. Baani was initially established to supply milk to Mother Dairy but eventually received permission to sell its own packaged products as procurement increased. Recently, all of Baani's business activities have been transferred to Mother Dairy.

Company is engaged in the manufacturing of milk products like Ghee, Butter, SMP (Skimmed Milk Powder), WMP (Whole Milk Powder), Dairy creamer etc. under the brand name “Royal”. Over the years the brand name “Royal” has fulfilled the expectations of its users and is now a trusted name amongst households and institutional buyers across regional as well as national markets.
In 2019 company made expansions which has enabled company to produce poly pack milk, curd, lassi etc. and the company at present is producing these products for Mother Dairy with firm annual commitments. Company has also tied up with Mother Dairy for conversion of milk into Butter and SMP which would consume the company's entire per day milk processing capacity during peak season. Current financial forecasts and future fiscal forecasts have been conservatively based on the basis of firm commitment deals the company presently has had with Mother Dairy and Baani. Though company is also planning expansion in the near time with which company can start production of cheese, flavoured milk, the projections contained in this report are strictly based on the present available infrastructure and present business deals in hand.

Capacity of the PPM section is 2 Lakhs LPD and capacity of the drying section is 4 lakhs litres per day, but these capacities are subject to unit's capacity to process milk i.e separation and pasteurisation which is 4 lakhs LPD. Unit at present has two processing lines of separation and pasteurisation with capacities of 10000 Ltrs milk handking per hour which at 24 hours working turns out 4.80 lakhs of milk processing per day, but since separator requires cleaning after 5 hours, 4 hours out of 24 hours are discounted towards cleanisation and accordingly working hours are 20 which leads to 2.00 Lakhs ltrs of milk processing per day per line. Further out of two processing milk processing lines, one each remains dedicated to the PPM and SMP. Further PPM line everywhere runs throughout the year whereas the SMP manufacturing takes place only for 6 months that too in the winter season as the milk availability in the off season is less and SMP line can't be fed optimally and accordingly the working days have been taken at 180. Company also has set up for making curd and lassi, but since PPM and SMP are the major components of revenue the same have been taken as the base for forecasting projections in this report.
Company has set up one additional line of 2.00 Lakhs ltrs of milk processing per day with which its total milk handling capacity would reach 6.00 Lakhs Ltrs per day (2.00 Lakhs litres per day-PPM and 4.00 Lakhs Ltrs Per Day SMP Section). Projections of current fiscal and coming fiscal have been worked out accordingly.
We are established a new plant in our existing unit for manufacturing of dairy products to strong strength not only retaining the high quality of existing products but also by innovating and bringing new products for outsourcing companies Products are like Curd Pouch and Curd Cup, Lassi ( Plain, Salted, Sweet ), Flavoured Milk, Fresh Paneer, Pasteurized Milk.. These products Produce for other outsourcing companies as per there specification and packing of products With their brand names.
The integrated plant is located at Chawa Road, Samrala Distt Ludhiana in the milk rich belt of the Northern Indian State of Punjab. The two main cities of Punjab, i.e. Ludhiana & Chandigarh are very close and easy to approachable from Samrala. The distance of Ludhiana is only 30 Kim. and distance of Chandigarh is only 60 Kms from Samrala. Due to perfect location we can easily distribute the Milk & Milk Products supplies to these main cities.We have set-up the most modern laboratory, with state-of-art computerized equipment, which is manned by a team of well-qualified Analysts/Chemists/Microbiologists/Dairy Technologist. We are equipped with hi-tech testing facility to test all the products ready for packing, storage, distribution and sales.
We have appropriate plants and apparatus which are used for treating milk for various processes like: pasteurization, sterilization and heat treatment. We take special care to ensure that the apparatus used are completely free from germs and bacteria which enables us to provide safe and hygienic milk products to our clients.We also pack our products with utmost care in the most hygienic environment.
The fresh milk is procured directly from the farmer producer both morning & evening time through transport network from more than 300 villages in the vicinity of 200 km of plant.The cold chain facilities including Bulk Coolers, milk chilling centers have been provided at strategic locations to maintain freshness and purity of milk.
ROYAL Brand is a premium brand of Punjab and the plant is situated in District. Ludhiana (Punjab) where 98% of milk is Buffalo Milk and Milk Powder is white in colour and texture of milk powder very fine. The company has its own VLC System of collection of milk. We give guaranteed 36% Proteins in SkimmedMilk Powder. We give maximum quality of Channa as compared to other brands sold in India.
We also doing export of Skimmed Milk Powder to Pakistan and Afghanistan. We have planning to expand market to other countries where the products are required.
