Established in 2004, Rana Milk Foods has built a strong presence in the dairy industry through a commitment to quality, efficient milk processing and dependable manufacturing. Located at Chawa Road, Samrala, District Ludhiana, Punjab, our integrated dairy facility is strategically positioned in one of Northern India’s most prominent milk-producing regions.
Over the years, Rana Milk Foods has developed extensive capabilities in the processing and manufacturing of a wide range of dairy products, including Desi Ghee, White Butter, Skimmed Milk Powder, Whole Milk Powder, Dairy Creamer and Dairy Whitener. The company has also expanded its capabilities to manufacture fresh and value-added dairy products such as Pasteurised Milk, Curd, Lassi, Flavoured Milk and Fresh Paneer, including products manufactured and packed according to the specifications of institutional and business partners.
Our manufacturing facility at Samrala is equipped with modern milk-processing, packaging and quality-control infrastructure, with a milk-processing capacity of approximately 5 LLPD. Its location in Punjab’s rich dairy belt provides access to a strong milk-procurement ecosystem supported by dairy farmers, collection networks and cold-chain infrastructure.
Rana Milk Foods began its journey with the vision of building a reliable and quality-focused dairy enterprise. Through continuous investment in processing technology, product development and manufacturing infrastructure, the company expanded from traditional dairy products into packaged milk and a diversified range of fresh and value-added dairy products.
Rana Milk Foods has now entered an important new phase of its journey following the acquisition of the Samrala plant by SMC Foods Limited, one of India’s established dairy companies.
The addition of the Samrala facility strengthens SMC Foods Limited’s manufacturing presence in Northern India and provides greater access to Punjab’s strong dairy ecosystem. Together with SMC Foods’ existing operations, the group has an overall milk-processing capacity of approximately 19 LLPD, creating a stronger platform to serve growing dairy.
This combination brings together Rana Milk Foods’ established manufacturing capabilities and presence in Punjab with SMC Foods Limited’s scale, experience, technology and commitment to quality.
